Designed specifically for musical theatre performers ready to deepen their acting craft, this month-long intensive steps beyond the musical theatre repertoire and into the work of the great realist playwrights, including Chekhov, Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, Eugene O'Neill, Lillian Hellman, William Inge, and more.

In an accessible, challenging, and supportive environment, actors will be paired with a scene and scene partner selected to stretch their individual strengths and areas for growth. Over three in-person classes, each pair will receive approximately 60 minutes of dedicated coaching while also learning through the observation and discussion of their fellow actors’ work.

Together, we’ll explore how to approach challenging dramatic text, investigate character and circumstance, make specific and courageous choices, and pursue truthful connection—building skills that translate directly back into your work as a musical theatre performer.

The intensive culminates in an in-person presentation at Ripley-Grier Studios, where actors will share their work with an invited audience of friends, family, and industry professionals.
