About Lauren

Lauren Kidwell is a New York–based actor, director, and coach with an MFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory. She has performed on stages across the country and the world, most notably spending seven years playing Mother Abbess in the national and international tours of The Sound of Music. Her passion for storytelling connects every aspect of her career: she approaches performing with a director’s eye, directs with an actor’s understanding, and coaches with the insight of someone who knows both sides of the audition table.
